Nvidia has intensified the pace of innovation in the booming artificial intelligence sector, announcing its next-generation AI chip platform, codenamed 'Rubin,' just months after revealing its highly anticipated 'Blackwell' models. The move, confirmed by CEO Jensen Huang, transitions the chipmaking giant to an aggressive one-year release cadence, a clear strategy to extend its dominance in the AI hardware market.

The announcement, part of a volley of news from the company on Monday, sets a blistering timeline for its competitors. The Rubin platform is slated to succeed Blackwell, which has not yet shipped to customers. In a keynote address, Mr. Huang affirmed the new roadmap, stating the company's goal is to release new families of products every year.
